D-VHS sound quality?

Thread Starter
I've recently seen an offer in the paper: Good old Media Markt sells the Thomson DVH8090 for 1499 DM instead of 3000 to 3500 DM over here in Germany, which is... uhm... considerably cheaper. So can anybody comment on the sonic qualities of D-VHS and, especially, Thomson recorders? That would be nice.

Thanks in advance & greetings from Munich!

gloco: I think he said "Thomson" - the parent company of RCA, I believe.......I'd kno. For a while, I was *obsessed* with my RCA Lyra.........and then........dammit......I started hanging out here....
