1 source to 2 amps?

i have a project debut III with a phono stage built in, so only 1 lead comes out of the unit. however, i have the stereo amp and the headphone amp to plug that into.

anyone care to recommend a way of splitting the signal into two that will retain the quality? from experience with old decks and such i found 1 lead put into a splitter and then to 2 different outputs became a weaker signal. or was that just my imagination/a bad splitter?

I am interested in knowing a solution to this as well.

Two possible options:

1. if either of the amps has a "tape out" (also called "loop out") then you can pass through the signal from source to the second amp without degradation. Often you can do so without even switching on the first amp.
2. a line router, like the Mapletree Audio LR-1 (check here, near the bottom of the page)

EDIT....assuming your stereo amp is the Arcam A80 in the signature, I did a quick check and found that it has a tape loop out. Not sure if the amp needs to be one for it to function though, but either way you would simply connect the interconnects from the A80 tape out to the Graham Slee input.
