What Pair of headphones are better? I have money to spend but am still debating on which pair to get. What do you think? I will mainly be using these headphones to listen to Metal, Rock, some rap, and Trance. I also like bass. So if you could tell me which pair of headphones to get and why I should get that pair over the other that would be great. Thanks

This is a no-brainer:

SR80

It's made for rock, do yourself a favour and get them, NOW.

It looks like I will later today. What is a good trusted site that I should buy it from? I have 110 in the bank and I can order them off amazon for 105$ with 2 day shipping ( i dont feel like waiting) :P. And they will be sent from J&R. Is that good?

Looks like I will be buying from TTVJ later on today. I get a better deal on TTVJ for shipping than I do on Amazon. I also might buy that Amp unless I want to buy another little set of In ear headphones for my Ipod on thwe road. I appreciate your help

No problemo, from one head-fier to another I've given up hope on iems a long time ago. Thanks to them I have mild tinnitus now. It's basically easy to get with them, since theyre all the way in the ear canal.
I'd say drop the iems idea, get a nice amp + the sr80s and save your ears.

Hmm ok. So what does a Amp do exactly? Just save the battery life of the ipod while making the Cans sounds good? What about on a PC. What would a amp do when using cans on my PC?

I don't think the SR80s need an amp portably, any minor SQ enhancements are drowned out by ambient noise anyways. An iPod (I've got a Classic) powers them quite well. From a computer, any inexpensive DAC/amp combos will give you a nice little upgrade from your soundcard for music listening. I use the Headroom Total Bithead, though more for my 325is which are a bit more requiring of an amp.

Is a soundcard a requirement for The SR80's to work on a PC? I have onboard sound with my mobo. Not a soundcard

I think I might go with SR60's. On TTVJ it says that they are the best headphones for under 100$ and he gave them a higher rating then the SR80's. What do you guys think i should do

I don't know, I like my SR80s, but I got my brother a pair of SR60s for his last birthday and those sound nice too. It's up to you, mainly based on which pads you prefer, the bowls(sr80s) or comfies(sr60s).

And I've been into computers since there was no such thing as "onboard sound". So to me, all computer speaker/headphone output is called a "sound card".

EDIT: However, an external USB DAC will be a big improvement over most onboard sound, but isn't immediately needed unless you hear lots of noise when you're plugged in.
