I've had the livewires but decided to return them to go back to the universals.

It was hard for me to get a good fit and even if I did, it broke off too much.

My suggestion (something I learned myself the hard way) is to try with high-end universal IEMs like TF10s or Shure 530 or somewhere there and go to customs if you are dissatisfied with any of them

jung - Thanks for the recommendation but if I was going to bring some heaphones that couldnt fit in my pocket Id go for another pair of RS1 or something relatively compact like that.

younglee- Did you try getting your impressions redone? Ive heard many reports of problems with initial impressions and although it would be a pain to ship back and forth this is a reality I have accepted before deciding to go with customs, I figure +$100 for impressions and shipping to be safe. And it is exactly for the improved seal/comfort that I wanted to go with customs in the first place, despite them having virtually no resale value.

Another option is to get custom tips for your universal fit earphones.

I have Westome UM56 custom tips that fit my Klipsch Image X10 and fit my ears well and sound great. I still use my Livewires more though.
