When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

Current wait time is about 4 weeks due to the large amount of orders. Normally it is 2-3 weeks, but we are simply overwhelmed with orders right now.
As for the super nylon it is the most ordered upgrade that we have to offer. While on some headphones it doesn't help with microphonics with others it makes a big deal. It just depends on the construction of the headphone. I hope this information helps a bit.
Thanks,
Alex

There shouldn't be any difference in SQ between 1/4" and 1/8" plugs, assuming there's no faulty shenanigans involved. I went with the Furutech over the standard APS plug (Neutrik) mostly because I like the way they look, and the fact they are all metal. Nothing's wrong with the Neutrik plug - I have one on my Denons, and it's nice and sturdy, but it's rather heavy. Dunno...I hear good things about the Furu's, so that's what I figured I'd go with.

Well, I mean it's heavy for it's size...IDK, it just seems really big and bulky. With the Furutech, I was also attracted to some other aspects: Rhodium plating, Furukawa copper, cryo-treated, etc.

The super nylon is:
-softer
-easier to handle (roll up)
-not microphonic
-more expensive ($40 more)
-thicker overall cable
-only available in one color (black)
The techflex is:
-tangles up easier
-harder to handle (roll up)
-very microhphonic
-less expensive ($40 less)
-thinner overall cable
-available in various colors
At the end of the day it is up to the individual user. If I had to choose I would rather spend the money on a dual entry than super nylon.

"I would rather spend the money on a dual entry than super nylon. "
What do you mean by dual entry?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a Cowon Iaudio 7, and after some time i'll get Pico aswell, do you guys think that it is sound wise better to buy APS Interconnect Cable (mini-mini). Does anyone use APS interconnect? Any suggestions OR its totally useless to buy expensive interconnect cables. I have one that's for 20$. Seems to be fine, I dont know if I am going to hear any audible difference using hi-fi interconnect cable.

I have had three cans (K501, K701, and HFI-780) re-cabled by Alex. These have the cable entering the can on the left earpiece only. Dual entry has an split below your chin and each earpiece receives a cable, like Grado cans do.
thank you mrarroyo, i was not aware of that

Don't get me wrong; it's a nice connector, but there's no denying its size and weight.

possibly moot post
I was indecisive/leaning toward going without Super Nylon for a while but ended up deciding to get it.It's entirely personal preference.. but, a few possible points:
In support of Techflex
•Super Nylon can be somewhat more difficult / time-consuming to work with, possibly jeopardizing consistent construction quality. (though I highly doubt this is any issue with APureSound, hearing my Super Nylon-sleeved cable and seeing the care that went into it)
•Will you be using this cable in busy settings / with rough guests or on the road?
Don't quote me on this, but I would assume the physical nature of the Techflex shell is more prohibitive of damage to the internal cabling through accidental hard bending or trampling, though the tension and sheer thickness of the Super Nylon may be more protective in other ways.
•If there's a fixed budget that $40 could go somewhere that effects the sound more directly.
In support of Super Nylon
•Regarding microphonics, for your Sennheisers these will be only slightly less acoustically transparent in motion / atmospheric ambience than well-built rubber stock cables that focus on this issue.
I have not heard the APS Techflex option, but a general summation is they are less microphonic than many other Techflex and similar-material cables due to their internal insulation, and yet somewhat more microphonic than the Super Nylon option, which may be enough to seriously compromise a listening session where near-constant motion is present.
•I don't recommend stretching its limits, but even without force the nylon sleeving makes for a very supple yet sturdy cable.
Ergonomically, benefits include the lack of added tension at the source and at the headphones, which leads into the ability to utilize the bulk of the cable's length (which could afford the use of a slightly shorter cable), despite unusual angles or obstacles, and the added comfort / aesthetic of a soft, skin-safe, odourless, and hypoallergenic natural material.
If you can afford it, and have any tendency to be nitpicky about these kinds of things I would say the nylon sleeving is definitely worth it in most applications, but it's up to you.
