I personally prefer the design of the S9, and battery life of it. I've had some bad experience with mp3s that used wheels of some sort, so I'm a bit unsure if the wheel of the Spinn will last.

The only thing that worries me is the availability, and the price. In Canada, they just RAISED the price of the Cowon D2s, so I won't expect them to be cheap at all.

hmm are these things coming out soon?

some (unreliable sources) said it'd come out today, maybe not to general public or whatnot but it said today in US....

and cowon uk still says it's due for December. Let's hope soon since my clip (which was meant to hold me until the s9.. and I got a month ago) got lost amongst my commute badly designed clip

Opps.. check the price for 8GB only US$219
Feel glad I have been waiting.
For this price, I can consider that it is a good buy.

if Apple put a custumizable EQ, and an microSD slot on the Touch and iPhone I could definitely live with that.

WHY not??

Maybe not, but thats where you go, if you're not Korean.
Not being Cowon.net kind of indicates this.

Why a Micro? Are SDHCs huge/impractical and limited to 8GB?

You felt the need to raise a year old thread to say that? Not to say I do not agree with your sentiments, because I do.
