Noob needs help here!!!

Can iPOD (lossless) hook upto an external DAC?

------------

If so, how does:

1) iPOD ---> DAC ---> AMP ---> PHONES

compare to:

2) Puter ---> DAC ---> AMP ---> PHONES

?

Thanks!

Cool product!

But, I wonder... the output is 16-bit/44.1khz resolution.... not 24/96?

Maybe I would be better going Puter ---> D/A (instead of iPOD --> transport --> D/A)?

What do you think?

thanks

Well if you rip your music from (redbook) CDs, then the native resolution is 16/44.1

Your D/A converter should handle any upsampling if desired...

I dont know much about D/A converters and such - That was a complaint i found on a site discussing the Wadia.
