Chimpie, I am sorry for the copying and pasting.
After some Hp-2 testing and listening, I have to conclude that I already have too many headphones and ear speakers. The Hp-2's are very nice, I am not yet sure if I will sell them (after all this is only an IC). I might keep them and reterminate them to 3-pin balanced XLR.

Description
Considering selling my Joseph Grado HP-2 with Joseph Grado Signature Ultra-Wide Bandwidth Reference (JGSUWBR) Cable in excellent condition. Bought them from Chimpie (http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f10/pe...arning-358913/).
Lettering almost 100% intact (Laurent said 95%, but it's hard to be that precise ). Flat pads included.
Note: I do not have the original box and I do not have the original documentation.

Condition
Still in the same condition as I've received them. Please check the pictures to confirm yourselves.

Location
Located in the Belgium, Western Europe.

Payment
Payment by Paypal, add 3.0% to cover half of the fees.

Shipping
Shipment by De Post and willing to ship worldwide. European buyers prefered, though. Costs are roughly €20. You'll pay the actual shipping fees.

Price
Now accepting offers in Euros. Paid 1200 euro + shipping (without fees - international bank transfer).
Lowballers, however, will be politely ignored.

On hold! It would be stupid decission to already sell a very nice Hp-2 so fast! I should really have to let them get reterminated to balanced 3-pin XLR (those cans deserve it)!

you may find them easier to sell stock than modified.

jsut turn em around if you dont like them.

Thanks for the important tip! I have decided to keep them for some time. I am sure they will sound even better with a balanced set up. They sound so neutral (natural). I never heard something like that.

I feel I should notify that the Grado Hp-2 has been sold!
I really liked it! Right now it is too expensive. If I were a bit richer I would certainly have kept it for at least 6 months.
I sold it for the same price as I bought it, otherwise I wouldn't have sold it.
The Hp-2 has been sent to Moon Audio, initially for balanced XLR recabling. This operation involves a +/- 370 euro cost.
At least I have had the opportunity to listen to a Grado Hp-2 thanks to Chimpie

Since I already have a Grado GS1000, a hard-wired Equinox Akg K1000, and a pair of ACI Emerald speakers - they haven't arrived yet - with an ACI Titan subwoofer.
I believe the extra Hp-2 would be too much.
I can guarantee you that the HP-2 will be in good hands because the buyer loves them very much and he/she was willing to offer me the same price!

Now I am also selling my Equinox Akg K1000 to cover the order of ACI Emerald speakers (with stands + shipping).

Congratulations on selling them!...so any comments on why you kept the GS-1000 and sold the HP-2?

Because I really needed the 1200 euro - which I have paid for the Hp-2 . And above all, I would have had to re-cable the Hp-2 for a perfect fit into my balanced rig - which would require another +300 euro investment. If I would have tried to sell my GS1000, I wouldn't be able to receive at least 700 euro.
I really like the GS1000, and since I am not a collector, I felt no harm to sell the precious Hp-2. I might regret it after some time - I certainly hope not. It was easy for me to sell it - especially by knowing that the Hp-2 wasn't an expensive phone when it was still being produced (+/- 10 years ago?). Correct me if I am wrong! But hey, a legendary phone doesn't have to be expensive to keep a status of a high end phone - like a good song, which can stand against all ages. You can't compare the prices of phones back then with the prices back now (there is so much more involved).
Sorry for my "bad" english.

Conclusion:
I always wanted to try out a pair of decent speaker (I have the rig for it), so I needed funds to cover the order of the Aci Emerald speaker (+/- 1000 USD) + a pair of 3 meter "Van den Hul Inspiration" speaker cables (500 euro).
That's the main reason why I sold them.
The other reason is that I already have had (and still have) lots of cans, so the Hp-2 was too much (and too expensive also).
I am not saying it isn't worth it's price! I am just not the right person to have them.

I can understand. it is luck of buying cans rather than customed IEMs. I have a pair of UE11 (costed me 1100 euro)which is not allowed to sell to headfiers' here. Was going to use them while travelling but soon after found hard to concentrate on audition because of too much interference around. Now I am selling my several days old amp for half price.

Good luck on your sale. I would grab those gears from you if I still had enough fund.
