For simplicity sake...

...feel free to commit to coming to the CanFEST by posting on this thread.
I originally asked for people to Email me directly, which you can still do, but also you can do it by posting here which will also let others know you are coming and what equipment you may be bringing. FatCat will also keep track and post the information from time to time.
Thanks,
Danny

I think the OPUS DAC in the amplifier list should probably be moved to source. Not sure if your talking about mine in there.

I'm planning on bringing at least a balanced millett max hybrid amplifier and OPUS w/ metronome. I will see about adding a balsy to the OPUS for those who want to try it SE.

An offer we can't refuse? DIY Interest Check

We have an offer from a nationally renown technical expert who would enjoy putting on a seminar about DIY headphone amp projects at the CanFEST.

We could incorporate this into the festivities for a ~1 hour side activity in the mid afternoon for those interested. This is an interest check to see if there are enough interested parties to consider doing this.

Excellent

It'll be great to see you there. Joe Grado will be there in addition to a
Buy/Sell/Trade session for any and all audio related equipment, not just can related.

Dennis Had of CARY AUDIO is planning to attend as well as Drew of Moon Audio and Mikhail of Singlepower. Others will be announced as they get on board.

Also, we will have an Audio Desk Systeme CD trimmer for those who want to trim a few CDs. Lots of fun stuff to look forward to. It will be held at the:

Hilton Charlotte Executive Park
5624 Westpark Drive
Charlotte, NC 28217
704-527-8000

Rooms are $159/night for those who desire overnight accommodations. If that is an issue for anyone PM me and I'll see if we can get some of our local attendees to offer their homes for people to stay. We want to make it as easy as possible for anyone to attend.

Thats Great! Will there be a good place to try out or demo speakers that wont disturb anyone listening to headphones or any of the other hotel guests?

Probably not. However, that doesn't mean you can't do a "quick" demo to make sure speakers are working properly in our main room. I'm sure we could squeeze in a short testing period but this is not our primary focus.

If there is enough interest to have a separate private area for the Buy/Sell/Trade demo and exhibition area I would be happy to look into getting another room but that essentially doubles the cost. So, we can do it if there is enough interest. If not, we'll go with the original plan of combining the Headphone Meet with the Buy/Sell/Sell festivities as the ballroom is reasonably large.
