I really like the Asus EEE PC or perhaps you should look into Dell's new netbook.

EEPC is a good bet, cheap, transportable etc. I will do a mini review on the 1st page

I really like my 1000H, great little lappy with 6hr battery life. Bigger than other netbooks, but it's my only laptop atm. Uses a standard SATA 2.5" HD, so you can upgrade to a 320GB unit if you need tons of space.

Runs Foobar beautifully and the USB ports provide plenty of juice for external HD's. I'll prolly do a short write-up once I get my DAC/Amp (see portable headphone amp forum for my thread there, so far looks like the iBasso D2 is recommended by a landslide over the others)

Asus PC on-the-go is overkill

I have the sme problem, I have a RSA Predator and prefer the usb connection, been looking for a PDA or Palm type device to use as a music source. My current solution is a MSI U123 netbook, it has a 9 cell battery with about 8 hours of life, I upgraded the hard drive to 500 GB and the Ram to 2 gigs...sounds great, but not pocket size. But there has got to be a solution. To think of all the cool wiz bang gadgets and no iPod like device with a suitable usb out. I emailed Ray at RSA, he is always quik to respond, great guy, he makes an analog cable, like many others out there that are iPod LOD to 3.5 mm mini stereo plug, quote from my email "Yes we do have & that will make your classics shine through the LOD.
$100.00 for the cable $14.00 for shipping in the US & 3% pay-pal fee.
Total shipped in the US is $117.42"....which isnt an ideal solution for what we truely want, a direct didtal connection to the wonderful DAc in the predator. Im going to keep looking for a solution.
Good hunting

Cheers
Bret
