can i change it?
heh
how easy/difficult would this be? would those silver braided cables, etc. provide better quality?

i'm assuming the soldering would be difficult, but how would one go about doing this?

I would not recommend silver wire/cable for the v6s as silver tends to sound bright. I would use high quality mic cable like Mogami or Canare Starquad. Also, you could use lightweight interconnect cable like Kimber PSB, same as PBJs.

i don't know if it's the right way but my way would be to cut the cable, strip some cover, solder to the new cable and encase the solder joints in something rigid. (electirical tape with a few straightened paper clips or slide on a pen casing and cover that in electrical tape or something, but i do ghetto styled work)

looks like cscott has a non-ghetto way to do this.
