iPod Touch 64Gb?

Hello. This is pretty important to me to findout whether not they will be releasing 64gb ipods touch soon or not. If anyone knows anything, please tell.

I believe there is an Apple event coming up on September 9th where they're rumored to be announcing iPod nano and touch updates.

If nobody knows now, you'll find out on the 9th probably.

I certainly is possible. from what i know:
the itouch has two nand slots
there are 32gb nand drive
2x32=64, but i doubt that.

On the subject of storage I wonder if there will ever be a 1tb player

It's likely that it would cost a gazillion dollars, based on the Apple pricing chart for the iPod touch.

Not any time soon.
Assuming that the capacity of $N worth of flash doubles about every 6 months (which seems to be the current trend to me), 1 TB of flash will cost about what 32 GB (current maximum capacity in a flash-based mp3 player?) of flash costs in about February 2011.
At some point, though, there's a limited amount of benefit a company can get from adding more storage to something like a MP3 player
