My wait is almost over....Death Magnetic

New Metallica out Setptember 12. Two more weeks, and I find the new song I have heard to be the happy middle ground between old and new. A LOT better now that Bob Rock is gone. And there is an Unforgiven III now, can't wait to hear it, I love the first two. Go to metallica.com and listen to The Day That Never Comes, a whole new line on the homepage. I think all Metallica fans will enjoy something off this album, I am about to listen to more, but it may only be clips unfortunately Anywho, off to go listen to more new 'Tallica And I can listen to a live preview of the new album next week on the local rock station (I may get yelled at work lol) and the day it is released you will be able to download the whole album for Guitar Hero 3 (which I might do). Go to Metallica.com and you listen to The Day That Never Comes and My Apocalypse and you can listen to 10 second clips of all 10 songs. Seriously though, you new 'Tallica haters, check out the new songs, I think it will seriously surprise you, you will know exactly what Bob Rock did to them and you will understand they did not sell out and that Bob Rock happened, I mean come on, before Metallica he produced Skid Row and Motley Crue.

Its not bad... compared to the atrocity known as St. Anger. It still isn't good.

So now ...And Justice For All isn't good? You can't say anything about vocals, if that's your problem with it, deal with it, that's getting older. But one of the main intro riffs to The Day That Never Comes is so straight from To Live Is To Die from ...And Justice For All and the new riffs are just awesome.

I only like Kill em All, and RTL. The rest bore me. Hell, the MoP's riff that everyone goes gaga for is stolen from a metal church demo. If that isn't proof that they aren't that creative, I don't know what is.

Also, Dio still sings like a champ, yet he is old. Don't get why Hetfield's voice would be complete garbage.

Hetfield's early style was very aggressive and I guess that did a lot of damage to his vocal cords.

Death Magnetic sounds like an improvement from St Anger, but it sounds like the worst tracks from United Abominations. Not exactly impressive.

...And Justice For All to me is one of the most overrated albums I have ever heard. It's the only album which I sold after one listen. To me take out One and that album would be no better than St Anger.

Metal Church, eh? I knew there was some legendary thrash band I was still missing.

Get them soon.

All right, name me some of your favorite 'newer' bands (early 80's to now) and I will tell you a song with a riff they ripped off of someone. It's inevitable bands will use riffs from their influences. And James' voice really isn't different, he just added a lot of growl in the earlier days and he doesn't do it as much now, he now uses more of his natural singing voice.

haha, fanboyism is so hilarious.

Taking influence doesn't mean you copy it 100%, so of course tons of bands take influence.

Alright, some of my favorite bands?

Suffocation, Death, Heathen, Exodus, Omen, Hammers of Misfortune, Electric Wizard, Bathory, Atheist, Hacksaw to the Throat, Demolition Hammer, Morbid Saint, Septic Flesh, Pig Destroyer, Morbid Angel, need I go on?

If fanboyism is knowing what music you like and what bands you like than yeah, it is fanboyism, but by the defintion you are using, no it is not. But I do find thick headed arrogance much funnier.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I just found that Metal Church and I can't stop laughing. It is not the same riff at all, there are similarities yes, but they are not the same. So you technically have no proof now. And Dio sang the same way all through his career, Hetfield didn't.

Oh and sorry, I don't listen to black metal so your bands out of the question for me to listen to.
Ok.

Hetfield changed his voice because  his voice became trashed. Dio has always been a much better singer.

Second, what is that Metal Church song, Mr. "metallicamilitia" (I cannot tell you how dumb I feel saying that).

Third, what black metal bands did I list? I'm pretty sure you'll wikipedia each band, so I don't know why I'm asking.

Also, I'm tired of you discussing this. You probably have very little knowledge about metal, found metallica, and like many kiddies found them to be "t3h awsumest band EVAR" and just love modern pop-rock.

BTW, what happened to you saying that the "AJFA" vocals were because he got older? Now he changed his style? Can you stick to one theory please?

They are the same theory, Hetfield actually threw his voice out during AHJA/Black album times and had to go to a vocal teacher so he wouldn't do it again. Same theory. No I won't wikipedia those bands. And the fact of the matter in my sn is that there is no 'a', it is metllica not metallica. And no they are not 'the awsumest band evar'. I find it hilarious that you assume just based off the few posts you have read by me. I listen and like In Flames and Dark Tranquillity a lot more. But Metallica is the band that made me realize that metal is my kind of music. But I'm done, I am tired of getting into arguments with people about this, it is pointless and it just pisses everyone off. So let's just leave it here and know that we like different bands. There is no reason to bash other bands (you'll notice I haven't bashed any of those bands you listed, which I could easily do because I don't any of what I heard).
