we have to change the meet date to 10.18.08. everything else remains the same.



we look poised to sell twenty tix before September 10th, but we only have twelve confirmed attendees as that's the number of tickets sold so far.

Argh. My faith in SoCal Head-Fiers to step up for big meets has been confirmed.

C'mon guys. This isn't an indicator of how we're going to step up for CanJam, next year is it?

i've only sent 15 advance purchase ticket emails, so 12 out of 15 is a very good response. tomorrow i expect to shoot off about seven more.

great! pm your email address to me and i'll send an advance purchase ticket email to you. the hotel details and address will be provided to ticket-holders -- it's within like 2 miles of LAX.

we've received 18 advance ticket purchases out of 21, which is mighty good. hopefully, those three will pull the ticket trigger shortly. tomorrow i need to email one ticket. and am awaiting receipt of an email address.

How many would be interested in DIY stuff at this meet? It didn't work out for the previous CanJam, but perhaps we could have a DIY table.

I have some spare parts and stuff I could donate. Perhaps we could all build a simple Pimeta during the meet and then raffle it off at the end? Anyone else have some parts they could bring as well? I guess I could also bring a drill and stepped bit for the case work as well.

I can at the least bring my Metcal SP-200 soldering station and butt loads of solder for people to play with. Get a chance to practice different soldering techniques. I think simple SMD soldering (like an SOIC-8 chip) might be a good tutorial.
