Too much speculation, and comparisons of apples to oranges.

We need to get the 750's, the 900's, and the E9's in the same room.

Agreed!

They're already avaible for 300 Euro streetprice in germany but avaibility is a bit unsure. Hope the store can keep up their "2-3 days"

The ED9 it's a different characteristic sound, than the Proline.
ED9 siblings is the HFI Line, and NOT the proline (different animal, and a funny one too..).
The Proline onwer brain can not get this understanding until he experience the ED9, or even other HFI cans.
After proline onwer experiece the ED9 effect, funny things can happen.
The proline onwer can FLIP... and he can flip hard!

The HFI line are the cheaper versions of the ED9. Or the ED9 have a superior mods on bord (I'll leave that for another time).

The ED9 is maybe the best headphone that HIFI head can get.
You come home after long day at work, and you want to listen to your favorit music you put the ED9 on your head some volume and you can feel like a stereo price in haven. You also can show off to your friends, very shiny...LOL

The problems start when you take the ED9 to the studio.
And this why Ultrasone have other Proline cans with more headroom in a different invarment.

My feel is that ultrasone cut on the testing & research baget on the proline cans.
Ultrasone don't spend the amount of time needed to get the best sound for proline tweaks (just my FEEL,HeHe Heee).

Conclusion:

You want to play with your stereo, buy the ED9 (if you like the sound).

You want to play music in the Studio, Buy the AKG K702 ( like it, or not)...LOL

If you have the money to buy both headphonces, dont forget to add the SPL Phonitor to the shopping list.

Thanks for the summing up Acix, I have Ultrasone HFI-2200 ULE and I love them
One day I hope to get the ED9's

What do you mean by 'PLIP' ?

I'm not criticizing your use of English, I've tried to learn other languages and I found it very hard to do !

Maybe you could have someone proof read your posts for you to make them a little clearer !

It happened to me ... I liked PL750 somewhat, but I didn't like the hollow mids and metallic highs. I decided give Ed9 a try I was sold. That try became slightly expensive, I have now three pairs of them

First Klob...
Most of us have never heard the Pro 900's so very few of us can answer your question from experience. Second, even had you asked a question about a headphone with which we had experience, the final answer to your question revolves around your opinion. In other words, you have to hear them for yourself. Any headphone you ask about on Head-Fi will cause a tremendous difference of opinions. Try to find a store that demos headphones and listen for yourself, if possible.
Good luck.

Oh boy... this thing has more bass than my old 750 which i bought back then with hundreds of hours on it already. I really really wish the bass will tone down after burn in because i enjoy all the rest of this great headphone.
Resolution is very good, somewhere above dt880, below k701. It's also very smooth with a grain free sound. I wont give any comments about tonality until alot more burn in.
Just one thing about the outofthebox bass: Remember my speaker in an untreated room comparison? Well, add a crappy subwoofer into each room corner and you'll have the pro900 outofthebox sound. The bass overpowers all the rest until 1-2khz, it's just horrible. What were they thinking? The 750 bass was already alot but this is ... Even most car stereos dont sound that bassy.

The build quality is better and feels more solid compared to the 750. I also like the neutrik connector. Oh and forget about using it with your portable player, the bass is uncontrollable on my sony 816, not recommended at all.

This is just from memory so take it with a grain of salt but the soundstage appears to be wider, so maybe thats what slogic plus brought to the table.
