CX 6 is based on the IE 6, or at least it appears to be. It is part of their travel consumer line up.

Sennheiser markets the IE series as 'professional' headphones.

well think 150 is MSRP Just got a pair of MM80 which has these and I like compared to my CX95

I just stumbled on these while checking out the PXC310s. If the CX6 has the same drivers as the IE6, why does the CX6 cost so much? I doubt that the IE6 is open. I own the IE8 and they certainly are not. 

 

Hm, it would be nice to get a comparison between them though.
