MOdded a Fiio with a CMOY and a 9V Battery.. Pics

Thread Starter
My FiiO did not like my 1.2V AAA rechargeable cells "Got all sorts of disturbance's"

So i used normal throw away 1.5V aaa cells which my GF did not like "Bad for the environment"

So what i did was to combine a 9v Cmoy amp with this FiiO which runs on 1.5V

To archive that i first ripped open the Fiio case and then i diverted the out of the Fiio amp to CMOY's Audio in and connected the Audio out to Fiios Out... As for the battery i took the 9V rechargeable and then used a 2way splitter and placed a 3V resister for the Fiio "Thats right 3V not 1.5v, it performs better at 3V's"

Yes, the packaging tape looks AWESOME!

If you already have a cmoy, than putting a E3 upfront is quite pointless, not to mention the double amping and all the hissing that comes from the E3.

When ran at 3volt, is the hiss reduced?

Eh? How much juice can this little guy take? If it can take up to 5v, I'll just solder on power from a USB cable.

1.4-3.6 V (max 4 V) if I interpreted the data sheet of LM4917 correctly.

Maybe you will have to mod the capacitors. it has to be Higher voltage than the battery.

What i did was to change the Casing of FiiO amp..

Due to this the FiiO amp is more noise-proof.

How do you guys open your FiiO. I tried several times but I'm scard of braking it.

Edit: Just opened it. Now I want to mod something but everything is so small.
What can I do ?
