I agree completely. The Creek will drive just about anything. However, if you want to get the best sound out of the HD-600, the X-Can v2 can do it better than the Creek.

A caveat: The X-Can v2 is about the most unforgiving audio component I have owned. If there are any problems upstream (bad source, bad interconnect), the X-Can is going to reveal them.

Come on~!

what you talk about versatility ?! Arent we all here for the best sounding equipments we can afford and enjoy ?

If versatility is what u after, buy a Cosmic then, no other amp are as versatile than Cosmic ,which also sounds very good from what I read. You also have the choice on Jan's porta corda that he is now selling. These 2 amps will give u all the versatility u seek~!

If you are doing the listening at *home*, how is the Creek or MORE versatile than xcanv2 ?

Both need to be plug in~!

I think you need to set ur priority straight before u buy the actual amp.

Well, I lost the bid on ebay for the X-Cans by a measley $4 cause I took a nap. I'm very much dissappointed. Well, back to my search.

The cosmic is way out of my price range. I'd have to skip on my rent to pay for that.

Would the MG Head be a better choice than either of these units?

I'm asking cause there's one for sell on ebay. I have a feeling it'll go for just under $300.

That just under $300 is very close to the new cost. Buy from a dealer, and you can get a return option, as well as the full warranty. ISTR the Headroom price is $325.

There is more to versatility than a power cord. The Creek can drive a wider variety of cans. The Creek is also more forgiving of upstream components.

I think he did in the first sentence. Versatility.
