When I listen to the Ohio Players the upsampling is great. With a better recording it sounds better in bypass mode thru the 650s. Just depends on the music. 192 plus the 650s is very very smooth though, almost too much. Still waiting for a good interconnect and headphone cable to arrive though. Im using 2 channels of a composite video cable for an interconnect and the stock 650 cable.

Some people have commented that the geometry of the video cable and at 75 ohms is not optimal for audio. I haven't tried it, but I did jump on those nice Tributaries silver component video cables on sale recently (90% off) that I could use as a test sometime. The stock 650 cable isn't as bad as the 600 cable, but there is an extra degree of detail layering and transparency with a good aftermarket cable.

Its killing me, got my new Dac and now im waiting on friggin cables. Those two cables will complete my headphone setup. Then I want to find a nice integrated amp with balanced inputs for the Stello and some REAL nice bookshelf speakers. Thats mainly why I got the Signature, so I could have 2 outputs.
