Super.fi 4's and Comply Foams

Has anybody tried the Complys on these? If so, do they change the sound much?
I use them. I don't think they alter the sound very much but they seal well and feel comfortable. I just wish Comply would "comply" with wishes for a larger foam. These current ones are just too small to seal reliably, even though they do seal...when not in motion.

Thanks Lewislink, I'll give them a try. The tips that came with the 4's are a little uncomfortable.

You'll want T400s for those 4s and you can get them here:

Just an update for anyone interested. I put the Comply's on today and what a difference, I think they even sound better!

Have these on as well. I agree and like the sound better. They are definitely a lot more comfortable and for me with small ear canals, are the perfect size. I can run with them on and everything. I could see however if you had large ear canals, that they would be too small for you.

For me they are great though.

One thing I did notice though, some tips pull off the stem easier than other, almost too easy. I think that some are too loose actually. Other than that, I love them.

That's great! I just now modded some medium olives to fit the large nozzle canalphones I have and I'm currently using them on these new fujis I have. They do make a difference. I was using the Complys but, as another poster said, they can be too small for large ear canals. These olives are working out till Comply complies.

Could you give me a link as to where you purchased the olives?

Thanks

Thanks Lewis, what do you do to modify them?

It's very easy, tom. Just remove the core of the olive by pinching and scraping with a thumbnail or fingernail between the foam and core till it is almost free, then you should be able pull it out without tearing the foam.

Once you have the cores removed, find some OEM foams ...maybe some came with your UE4s, I don't remember...and easily remove their cores, mine usually fall out without having to even look at them, then put those larger cores into the olives, allowing the olives to come back to shape, take some super glue and carefully put a small dab between the olive and core at least 2 spots. The inner large side of the core will go to the flat side of the olive. The other end, the end that goes into the ear first, is the end to glue, to keep it from rolling up when you insert them. When you glue, kind of pull apart the olive from the core and put a small dab in there at 2 spots around the core.
