Please recommend IEM/canal phones suitable for my NYC commute. I have read throw many of the reviews here, but I am looking for more targeted suggestions for portable convenience. Requirements:
1) Isolation
Dead-quiet; NYC subway-proof. I don't need to hear anything, when I don't want to. Pls disregard any considerations for safety or for environment awareness.
2) Microphonic
The less; the better.
3) Ease of Use
Easy to insert/remove as the environment changes.
4) Durability
Durable or replaceable cables would be plus.
I am looking to spend ~$150. But I will leave that somewhat vague, due to trade-offs that I will inevitably have to make based on above requirements; definitely not looking to spend, say, $300, knowing that I cannot handle them with white gloves.
As for music preference. I am a scavenger; I listen to female vocal to jazz to hiphop to cello. I look for versatility rather than particular strengths or sound signature; no boomy bass, for instance. There is sufficient amount of reviews and feedbacks in this forum, so this point doesn't require emphasis on this aspect.
Thanks all.
