Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XII] - Page 8

Sorry since this is kind of repost, but I was lost in threads earlier..

Current portable set here.

iPod video (RockBox & FLAC)+ awwan LOD + Meier Headsix + Shure e4...
The LOD is solid core copper and I think that ALO (who makes it) kept it loose to minimize potential stress on the connections since it is a cable that is "Bent into shape".

I have an LOD that uses this same material and I found it easier to actually make the LOD in a curved shape to allow a better braiding / prettier. That 20AWG solid core in teflon can be tricky with bending and stresses.

I'm curious what theme that is too. It looks kinda cool.

Although I'm getting pretty close to ditching Rockbox and converting my FLACs to ALAC.

That theme finally made me want to take a closer look at Rockbox but alas it doesn't work on my new iPod Classic.

Gather the ingredients needed to make a "That Dude Portable Rig"
Firstly, prepare 3 parts portable media player:

(From left: Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB, iPod 5.5g 80GB, iPod Shuffle 1GB)

You may also use a Portable CD player as an alternative like so:

Secondly, add in at least 1 portable amplifier to the mix:

(Go-vibe V5, custom red LED)

Thirdly, bind the ingredients with a couple of custom ICs:

Fourthly, add in some flavor and seasoning in the form of an IEM, a earbud and a pair of headphones.

(UE Super.fi 5 Pro)

(Yuin PK3)

(Kramer Modded KSC-75)

Finally, put it into a yellow pouch and bake in the sun whenever you feel like it:

Cheers!

My main going out rig, Kenwood HD30GB9 connected to a HeadAmp Pico, listened through the Sennheiser MXW1.

- MXW1 portable charger and case

This is my recording kit, Roland Edirol R-09HR coupled with my UE Triple.fi. I normally use a sound attenuator with it, but I lost it recently.

My other gadgets that get a lot of use are my Sony NW-HD5H and Sony NWZ-S618F.

It really doesn't get any sweeter then this.

Now thats just a waste of money and you didnt even get any convenience in return.

For the same amount of money you could get a high end chinese tube amplifier with high end speakers that would totally blow that setup away.
