Hi, all

I have some doubt to ask,
my iPod Photo 60GB G4 can use with wadia 170 ???

I see FAQ and manaul in wadia's site
and not show Wadia 170 support iPod Photo 60GB (G4)
its support ipod Video, ipod classic, all nano, ipod touch

Wadia 170 still not release in Thailand
it's really good and better than Apple dock??

I only want to use with my amplifier and speakers

worth or not?

many thanks

The iTransport extracts digital audio signals from the iPod formats it supports, which can then be run through an external DAC of your choosing.

Your iPod is evidently not supported, so there's no reason for you to get one.

But 170i is so valuable though you should upgrade your ipod.

Well, the 120GB Classic was introduced after 'munkong' posted the picture 4 months back.
I suggest you visit the Wadia 170i website for full details about supported units.

thx..i will seriously think of getting this product, even though i already have a cheap dvd player as a transport(yeah...yeah..i know...after all the fussing and talking about the marantz cd5001,5003,sa8001, i decided to go for a cheap dvd ,which is pretty good sounding by the way. but i admit it, i neglected the digital source importance, illused by the "digital is digital" thoughts! ).
but i still want something for my ipod too, i have a lot of music that i dont have on cds.
the wadia will probably be more clear and good sounding than my current dvd player, even if just a tiny bit more, but its still a progress.

Different ipods may work, but differently

First of all, I love the wadia i-transport. I bought it last summer. I have three ipods. The two 160s I have are the last of that group. But I also have my first ipod, an 80 gig which has different software. It does not do "cover flow' as the 160s but in other ways seems like them. I have to fiddle to get it to work with wadia -- usually I start a song and the screen turns to the wadia logo with an "ok to disconnect" wording, whereas the 160s work flawlessly.

Thus the 80g has become my on-the-road ipod and the other two are being loaded with the favorites from my cds and stay at home doing server service.

And Im really happy with the results. I use a Monarchy Audio upsampler and an Audio Note 1-1x sig. dac. It's the best "cd" I've had so far. Sometimes I marvel at how good it sounds. Makes me want a wadia player. (I have never had a really "highend" player, but players in the c 1000$ group). At the moment I am inclined to rip a cd loselessly to itunes and load it onto an ipod for best listening. I have some mp3 downloads and I certainly can tell the difference: but they sound pretty good though the wadia setup.
