Beware of GE Money Bank/Amazon.com store card

I've been a happy amazon's customer however my experience with their GE Money Bank/Amazon.com store card left me in a bad taste. The faults lies on GE Money bank and IMHO Amazon is better off getting someone else to handle their amazon.com store card. I have amazon visa issued by chase and have never got any problem with it. So let me share my stories here:

I have a good credit and for the last 3 years never been denied credit and usually got the best terms available since my credit score is more than 780. While I was browsing on amazon, I noticed they have promotion 24 months 0% financing for SLR lens. I was really interested since I want to buy a nikon 85 1.4, eventhough I have the money to pay it upfront, the chance to defer that payment for 24 months is too good to pass up. So I applied for the card, I got denied. Several days later, I got on email saying they could not verify my identity. So I called them, call got routed to India and guess what, even though I have verified my identity, they still can't get it approved. I might sound picky but I have a good credit, there's no reason for them to reject my application because of unable to verify my id, yet did not give me any chance to fix it. I can understand if I have a bad credit and they deny me because of that reason. I asked for my father to help me in this case. My father also got a good credit. He got denied for the exact same reason. This is stupid. Then I do some googling and found this website Ge Money Bank/amazon.com Complaints - amazon.com store card denial
I guess I'm not the only one here. I will write a complain to amazon, hopefully they will listen and drop their agreement with GE Money if enough people do the complaint.
