Decided the time is right to renew my search for an R10. Seems like they always pop up on the sales forum whenever I'm not actively looking for a pair.

biggrin.gif that's how I feel about the bass-heavy K1000.

One of my favorite director, Jean-Luc Godard, is a fan of the R10. it's his favorite headphone, and use only the R10 to listen music or to work (confirmed by one of his sound Engineer I know) . Here, a picture in his private production studio at home, look on the right wink.gif...

I love Godard. I would expect nothing less of him, given his good taste.

Yes indeed ! Thanks !

Just listened Dark Side of the moon again with the R10, just sounds fantastic !

This is the stereo layer of the SACD version and at the end I just loughed, haha...Because :

I was quiet surprising that a faintly audible orchestral version of The Beatles's "Ticket to Ride" can be heard after "Eclipse", over the album's closing heartbeats.

On Wikipedia, they said it is due to a remastering error on later CD.  They didn't correct it ! I have to say we can STILL hear that on this version !

Hahaha.

Someone has another cd version without it ?

Thanks.

Of my three pairs, this one is referred to as number one...

Woaw, 3 pairs. Lucky Guy !

People sometimes think about a guy like you : Ok this guy is crazy to have 3 pairs of R10, or usually are jalous and think it is useless to have 3 pairs.

They are totally WRONG because, with 3 pairs you can listen the amazing sound of the R10 with two other friends, and that is just GREAT.

I can think of better things to do with 10k than buy two other things that sound the same.

You have obviously never spent a lot of time with the Sony R10 ;) I almost bought a third pair this week myself, but someone else on the forum needs them more than me, so i have tried to set the seller up with the buyer.

Quiet right !

So, just to tell a little funny thing :

since few days, I listen music only on the R10 (I am not at home) and I just went back to my ER4-P Etymotic in-ear and has been afraid that they sound just like a can to my earatsmile.gif

Headphones are like good french wines, if you taste one extremely good, the others just classics or good will be bad in your mouth.
