I have tried chasing pictures "facing the pads" on google, but most pictures are facing the headphones, sort of, so I can't get a good idea of how it looks facing the pads. If you know how I mean. I want to know how well it fits "look wise".

Oh Pff, they look just fine

No one is going to see the inside of the ePad and from the sides they look perfectly normal. I owned a Mad Dog and I felt the pads on it looked SUper Fab

The Alpha Pads look like they're a little more squishy than the stock denon pads anyway. I'm sure they will be almost as flat on your head as the stocks.

I just traded my HD600's for a pair of D2k's. I'm so glad I did. I demand a little more bass impact than the HD600 can offer, even after I blue tack modded them. The D2k's sound brighter to me too, which I really like. The whole sound signature is just great so far.

Yeah, I've been wanting to buy the Alpha Pads for my D2000, but I've never really walked the walk on that one. I probably should though. For christmas.

The waiting is the hardest part for me..............we are all so 'instant gratification' that when something like your situation comes up it's almost unbearable.  Had that same issue when my D2000's were at Martin - took 6 weeks from the time I shipped them to him till I received them.  Long 6 weeks.......................

You can imagine how long it was for me when i sent my d-5000 to Lawton Audio took 5 1/2 months to get them back that was a couple years ago hopefully turnaround is faster now but ill never know once was enough !

WELL I BET IT IS faster

kinda Pissed at Mark atm, no big deal BUT I asked if the DIY Mod was avalible to be purchased seperae from the DIY LVL1 Kit, and yes it is! He so egarly sent my a $38.50 invoice [which btw he quoted me $32.50 and PayPal asked for 38.50] WHICH when I went to pull funds out of Pay Pal Today I well COULD NOT get all of my MONEY because he sent me an innvoice for payment that I DID NOT REQUEST

Sent him a rather Polite but FIRM EMAIL to REMOVE the innvoice ASAP. That said, seeing his egarness in asking for my money I would HOPE he is equally egar to do the work.

Also Jimmy is hipping my D2k out today as I am shipping out his headphones today... I would have preffered that he Shipped the day I paid him the $100 BUT he wanted to ship the headphones out at the same time... yet My headphones have to first be repaired where as his are going right to him [so I'm mildy irked by that but no big deal]

ANYWAYS, I'm ASSUMING it's going to be at least 3 weeks before I get them. And I don't mind the wait... SO LONG AS SOME ONE FRIPPIN lets me know the progress of my PRODUCT. I'm assuming it shouldn't take martin long to Reterminate and TIghten a loose cup -.-

I got that impression from him as well. I wasn't super happy with my experience with him.

Did Martin commit to any timeline?
