I just might have to keep looking around lol. Are the D600 the replacements to the D2000 per-say?

actually, any one compared the D600 and D2k to the V Moda M 100?

also mmmm Bird of Prey, nice EDM band or dude. MIssed these guys. Fellow drops a lot of sub bass so he sounds a little anemic with anything that has a mid hump, the d2k hits all his lovely deep notes ^^

Since no one wants my new M-Stage HPA-2... How does the M-Stage mate up with the D2k? I feel like my Project Ember is way too much for the D2k (completely unsubstantiated assumption), though I can mess around with the gain.

I have.  I had the matte black version first, then the red/black version of the M100 (forget what it's called) as I kept trying to love the V-Moda sound.  Sadly, just didn't match up with either/any Denon.  Not that they are bad headphones, but for the price I wanted comfort and good sound - got neither.  Sold them and likely won't go for the third try.

Very well actually. The D7k is one of the reasons I run a set of my RCA's over to the M-stage.

The D2K sounds just awesome for pop. Love that bass, mids and sound stage.

For my classical music, I still prefer my iem's EX1000 for its speed and sparking treble.

i use the m-100 when commuting, and a d2k when at home. ive never a/b'd them and dont intend to. i dont think they sound similar. both have good bass extension, and both sound great to my ears. i do prefer the d2ks though - the m-100 treble is too peaky for me.

is there something more specific you wanted to know?

It came..Denon D2000 with diy Lawton mods..just the back side of the driver..Martin Custom Audio Extra Deep Cocobolo rosewood cups...sorry for the pics, I'm not much of a photographer..having owned the D7000s I can say these are great, really close to them actually, and the cups give it a nice custom look..think I'm done for a while..until I randomly decide to get a TH-900 lol

Is it still worth it to buy the discontinued Denon AH-D2000?

**** I don't know what to do. These are hard to find and I found someone selling them for what I think is a good price. They're pretty good condition being sold for $250-300. I wanted these before but I couldn't find a pair for a reasonable price so I opted for the dt770 as an alternative which I do like. But now I feel like I should take advantage of this and grab them to either add to my beyers or replace em. Is this headphone a good buy still or have other alternatives made them defunct?

Questions:

  • how is the comfort? I have a small head and wear glasses. The clamping force has to exist, and pads must be soft for me to get a good seal. I tried some newer Denons at Best Buy and they were way too big and loose for my head.

  • How is the sibilance? This is my main issue with the dt770. I can eq down yes but having smooth treble would be a plus.

  • how easy is it to buy NEW replacement pads? Or am I gonna have to rely on the used ones?

Anything else I should know before I jump on this?

Thanks
