Some Quick question about Optical output

Hi
I want to connect a DAC to my optical output of my soundcard
The questions I have are:

1)Will it be a trouble if the cable is 1 meter long (like lose of quality) , and I have my PC under the desk, while the DAC on it, can I like "bent" it a little bit? will it be trouble or something?

2)Will I get "pure" sound of it? means with out no volume gain or what ever, means that the windows mixer won't touch it, and I won't be able to "push" the volume up or down from the PC, but only from the AMP ?

3)Will the quality be as good as it can be like 1-1, as like I was hearing the sound direct from the DAC? (just like connecting CDP or what ever)

Thank you for the answers!!!

1) 1m is short, don't worry. Bend, don't worry, just don't have it "extreme" bend.

2 and 3) "Pure" and 1-1: What exactly is that? Who says your CD player must be bit-perfect? Either way, that all depends on your setup: soundcard, bit-perfect output, drivers, ASIO/KS used, etc.
