Congrats to him - he deserves it.

All my friends want iPods now not only because of their functionality, but they don't look just like mp3 players - they almost look like fashion accessories.

Yeah there's a lot of great industrial design stuff coming from Apple. I don't know about those new iMac though.

Hmmm...judges obviously didn't get around to turning it on then...or would they have noticed the difference? How DO you tell when its on?

The sound coming out of the headphones is generally a good indication.

You don’t think it was awarded purely on aesthetics then? That i could believe...but not sound..as in 'total' design, i.e. functionality?

Was it the 2nd or 3rd gen that won the award?
