Length of Extension cord?

Hi Orcin,

Can you tell me what length extension cord we should bring (approx how far from outlet to table)? Will 10 ft suffice? Also, do you want somebody to bring some tape to tape down the extension cords for safety reasons? Thanks!

I can bring some extra 12 gauge 25' cords if needed.

I can also help with snacks and cleanup.

Oh boy, a volunteer! Thanks, Steve.

I gotta get back to you on the outlets and distance from the table. I am still trying to catch the person who has the key at home so I can get in there to check out the layout.

However, I know the tables will not be right next to the outlets in some cases, so those 25' cords and some tape would be a good idea. I have some long cords also, but they are for outdoor use (not audio) so they may not be the best. I'm bringing them anyway.

Yeah, the HoA may see an unexpected spike in their power bill next month.

Hey just wanted to confirm I will be showing up. Unfortunately the only thing I can confirm I wll be bringing is my Mapletree Audio EarHD+. I just moved and haven't closed on the new house quite yet so everything else is in a storage warehouse somewhere in Corpus.

More than glad to help with snacks and cleanup.

Awesome! Glad you will be able to make it. Get a good night's sleep before you make the drive from Laredo.

Since your gear is in storage, I will be tempting you with my portable rig.

I just acquired a new amp from another headfier and need to thin the herd a bit. The upcoming meet will give you an opportunity to “try before you buy”. I will be offering the following items for sale:

Stax Classic 3030 System – SR 303 earspeakers and SRM 313 solid state driver unit. Another headfier’s review can be found here:
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f13/re...ystem-ii-9211/
Price: $500

Darkvoice 336i – This was my first venture into the magic world of glowing tubes, and it is an excellent amp for the money. There is a wealth of info on this unit on HeadFi. Will include 2 sets of tubes.
Price: $300

Singlepower PPX3 6SN7 – A truly excellent headphone amp that delivers an extremely involving listening experience. I moved up to a MPX3 Slam SE and cannot justify keeping both pieces of gear. Will include 1 set of tubes.
Price: $500

Come by, kick the tires, have a listen and see if you want to take one home.

Nice! I will try to resist but who knows what will happen when I hear Stax!!!

FYI: I am also planning to sell some gear (Senn HD 25-1, Ultrasone HFI-780, UE super.fi 5 pro, and RSA Hornet - MAYBE K340 since I am having trouble getting a good fit, MAYBE X-can) and would be happy to sell them at the meet if someone were interested. I also have an extra pair of never used Beyer 770 velour pads that I would be happy to bring to the meet if someone wants to pick up a pair for a good price (just PM me before hand).

BTW: I hope we are not "breaking the rules" by discussing this on a non-FS forum!

Shellylh, I was wondering the same thing so I asked Orcin before posting and he thought it was OK. My thought was to try for a local sale before listing on the For Sale section. It's always good to try something before putting your cash down and this seemed a rare opportunity to do that.

Boy, I sure hope Big Eat is in town. That's an impressive array of equipment.
