and yes this may open the eyes of people to there being headphones out there that sound better than bose. but what will most likely happen imho is that they'll just replace the bose with the Beats as the headphones to get in their minds, instead of researching and finding out about what's actually available.
That's what people do for everything though. People see critics rave (read: paid reviewers) about a certain mainstream product and people will flock and buy them. It would be funny to see people tell me The Beats are the most awesomeness headphones ever.

I love when people are unintentionally hilarious.

Exactly. Why do research when someone in a paper or magazine (and NOTHING written can be wrong, can it?) tells you what to buy?

Oh really??

Best Buy Canada Web Store: Audio: iPod / MP3 Accessories: Sennheiser Pro Stereo Headphones (HD650) - Online Only

You're still supporting his point because the Dre headphones will be carried in-store while the HD650s clearly say "Online Only".

Right on with the "paid reviewer". Reading that review one can see that he doesn't know as much about headphones as he thinks. Compaing them to Bose. Unfortunately many will read that, thinking Bose is the "best audiophile" headphone for $350 and the Beats are as well.

Just look around this forum. Much better suggestions have been made for half that price.

I just called one of the local Apple stores around me to inquire information about the headphones. $349.99 is the price, have in stock, but won't let me try them......damn

I didn't bother to try, knowing that Best Buy won't let you try ANY headphone at all. And the price should be the same.
For that price they should let customers try them.

What about in-store demo stations? Anyone been to a Best Buy lately?
i checked the US site, didn't see high end sennheisers on there.
and it's online only anyways.

Anyone willing to chip in to advertise Head-fi in mags, newspapers and stuff as the place "if you actually want to have a clue about headphones and buying headphones, go here"? No. Then people will keep on liking Bose.

I thought I read that, too. I'm actually looking for some of the recent releases now to see if I was mistaken.

If they have trying stations, woulnd't they have their own source? I don't like that because i don't wanna listen to whatever crap they have, might be enhanced in some way.
