Hands on with the new, unreleased, Samsung S3

I had the opportunity to get a close up, hands on, impression of a black version of Samsungs soon-to-be released S3 yesterday at a local WalMart. It wasn't for sale but, rather, shoved away at the back of the display case where all of the display units are held with price labels. It was very inconspicuous in its plastic wrapper without a box.

I noticed it and immediately knew it was the new S3 and asked to take a look at it. The clerk was hesitant about it at first but complied kindly. My impression was of pleasure. The unit is laden with chrome and very sleek and handsome.

Lucky you!
Looks like a quite nice player...

hmmzzz.. at the store I work the S3 is sitting in it's display stand for 3 days now. I've listened and played with it already and it's a nice player, though a typical samsung.

I just wish that Samsung would release the YP-P3 already and up the capacity to 32gb. I can't even get a 16gb P2 in the US without importing it from Canada - TOTAL BUMMER!!! And it's a pretty solid player IMO.

I agree with this assessment. I think the P2 owns the iPod Touch in terms of looks and of course SQ.

Its already been out for a couple of weeks in Europe. Doesnt look impressive to me.

I dont even see it as an upgrade to my ipod nano 2G. Its bigger and has about the same battery life. That wouldnt change my listening experiences.
