Hey all,
I'm not entirely sure if I still want to sell these, but let's say that I am curious to see if anyone would be interested.
I will take pics later to post, but they are in phenomenal condition EXCEPT for one small (~1/8") mark on the top of one where a fragile vintage Christmas ornament fell on it and somehow took a tiny piece of the veneer with it. Weird.
They are great speakers, the best I have ever owned, and I would be a bit sad to see them go, but I won't be able to do any speaker listening for at least the next two years (if not more), and will be focusing on headphones in the mean time. Plus... I think I'm going to start saving up for a certain... ahem... "ring"... and the extra funds may help speed along that process!
I will include the stands that I bought for them (24", I believe, but I will make sure), which have a sturdy spiked base, and can be filled with sand/shot. Exceptional stands for these speakers. I'll take pics of them, too.
The Focals are biwireable/biampable, and have the following specs:
# 2-way bass reflex bookshelf wall mounted
# Speakers: 6-1/2" Polyglass mid-bass, 1" TNC inverted dome tweeter
# Frequency response (+/- 3dB): 55Hz-28kHz
# Sensitivity (2,8V/1 m): 90dB
# Nominal impedance: 8 ohms
# Crossover frequencies: 2400Hz
# Maximal power handling with musical program: 80W
# Dimensions (HxWxD):
# 370x220x250mm 14.6x8.7x9.8inch
# Weight: 9.6kg (21.1lbs)
These are only a couple years old, and were $500 brand new, for just the speakers, and the stands were $120 new, I think. I'm asking $350 for the speakers and stands, which is an extremely fair deal.
