Yes indeed, what I ment was that you can't use a standard iPod dock cable, it has to be one specially designed for an iMod.

Well, I got my iMod yesterday, and have now compared it to my 80GB iPod classic, and yes, the improvement is that much. By comparison the stock iPod classic sounds colourless, thin and brittle. The iMod adds tonal and spatial depth, and now sounds full and rich. I cannot now go back to my stock iPod, and will be selling all my other DAPs. |

get yourself a vcap dock too, if you thought the improvement was good from imod over classic, wait till you throw those babies into the mix.

| Does an iMod still use the stock firmware, or is it Rockbox'd? As well, if one wanted a longer iMod cable (around 3 ft in length) so they can carry their amp and player separately, would it be possible, and would be it affordable? |
