APureSound V3 vs Cardas for SennHD650

Can anyone with experience with both these cables and the 650's let me know if the V3 is a substantial step up over the cardas cable. I purchased the 650's and the cardas 4ft cable with a mini plug from Headroom a couple of weeks ago and am trying to decide if I should use the 30 day return program for the cardas cable and upgrade (if it is an upgrade) to the V3. Comparisons between the V3 and Zu or Equinox cables would be helpful as well. Thanks.

I asked the same question myself a while back, and got a lot of helpful responses. Here's the thread:

Seems the APS V3 is a big hit. Also, for a lot less money, you can have some folks around here build you one that's comparable (silver plate copper, Cardas connectors, silver solder,Neutrik plug, etc.). tjumper78 comes to mind...he quoted me $155 for a 10' set. Pics below:

Just a heads up, but the V3 cable is not silver plated copper so it wouldn't even be close to comparable. The V2 was a silver plated copper (75% silver / 25% copper) which was a custom order and not that $0.10 a foot silver plate copper wire on eBay which is just a very small micron plating. So even then it wouldn't be the same.

I believe it is a solid copper core with silver over it

Oh, no, sorry...I wasn't making a direct comparison betwen them. I want a V3, for sure, lol...BUT...It's like deciding between a Bugatti and a Subaru STi. One's all the bells and whistles with a premium pricetag, one's also fast as hell, but more affordable...
