Well, I've tested the DMX 6fire some time ago for the magazine I'm working for. Nice card, lots of features, good build quality, nice sound. There seemed to be some trouble with Win XP initially, but the same was true for Soundblaster cards. Any remaining problems are usually due to resource conflicts, which can be solved quite easily if one knows what to do...
Thanks for the information. I may be asking you a lot of questions soon as I purchased a 6 fire today!

Even with all the negative comments I've read, I just couldn't resist due to its features. There are also a number of very positive views, and I am hoping to add to those. The card has everthing I was looking for; recording, connections, cd to vinyl transfer, and dvd playback. I just hope I can get it working well without too much difficulty. I may still run two cards if I start playing games, but for now the terratec should do the trick.

Btw, I was fortunate enough to take my wife and kids to your wonderful country two summers ago and we enjoyed Munich very much. I hope to travel there again soon, as my wife's cousin lives on the banks of the Neckar in Heidelberg. Beautiful! Oh yes, and I miss the beer too!

Cheers, Gary

Gary: I hope you'll like the 6fire. With a bit of luck, it'll install without any hassle and there won't be any questions at all.

And yes, I like Munich, too - although that's probably no wonder for someone who has Wittelsbacher blood in his veins... I'm not much into Heidelberg, though: It's a very neat town, but a little too neat for my taste - and maybe a little too cramped with tourists, too. But then, every town is different as soon as one knows locals there...

Greetings from Munich!
