It wasn't spent all at once, it took more than a couple years to come up with all of those items. I'd love to buy a set of UE 10's and a set of Klipsch Image but they just are within my range...unless I can get some stuff sold on eBay.

So far your selection has proven accurate. I have the Etys and, although they seem to be very good sounding buds, they aren't as definitive as the UEs. The UEs seem to be more dynamic and pronounced than the Etys. A submersing sound quality, is how I'd describe the UEs. I have yet to experience the Klisch or CX500s.

You could try the Head-Direct RE2s or perhaps even the RE1s with an amp, I think you will find them to your liking. The RE2s sound great straight out of the i7.

Klipsch Image X10s are quite fun sounding and are really comfy. The sound is somewhat like that the SA6s but with more emphasis on the low end and a slightly more coloured sound.

+1 for the RE2's. Super good value for money even with the price increase since the group buy ended.

Yeah, here Head-Direct are a sponsor here on Head-Fi so Fang will post here when there is a group buy. The RE2 group buy ended about a month ago.
Fang's customer service is great.

Who makes the Head Direct phones? The RE2s look a lot like the common Sennheiser CX300 style which is shared with Creatives line and probably quite a few more. They are supposedly made by Foster of Japan.

Dunno but they sound significantly better than the Creative range and the CX300's.

the CX300's have nothing over the RE2's (unless you're a basshead that like bloated bass and dunno better options like the Denon c551's for bass).

Anyway, they look nothing like the CX300's....
