If you could resurrect any headphone, which would you pick? - Page 3

I'd like the Baby Orpheus and/or Orpheus to come back. I'd buy either at MSRP, but not at current prices.

And the K-1000, of course. AKG has resurrected it before and I wish they would again. It's one of the best things they've ever done and they could use a "halo" product.

bjarnetv for the win. Only add in the Stax Sigma, maybe with some newer pro drivers.

The problem isn't the portable plug, it's the SRM-001. If Stax or an independent amp maker would only offer something serious, then a reterminated SR-5, X, or Gamma would suddenly become an awesome portable.

HP-1000, I'm still hoping that someday Grado will figure it's too sexy not to bring back.

HE60 (baby Orpheus). It's in the right price range and well qualified for a statement status.

Probably these.... SR-Omega, K1000, HP1000 and HE60

It would be nice if the powers that be dusted off the plans for a K2000, HE80 and a R20.

Let's see, in order of preference:

HE90, PS-1, L3000

Since this is the marketing guy, I vote for the HE60, but, dude, forget the HEV70. Have a look at a SS design from Dr. Gilmore, without the stinking switching psu. A mini-KGSS (or, coming KGST, which is easier to manufacture) is perfect with the HE60.

As an option, forget Orpheus, and make the HE90 with a KGBH - that will create serious players in the electrostatic world under a Senn brand.

The amps have always been the weak link in HEx0 - Dr Gilmore can help with this problem.

Seriously, ditch the HEV70 - bad pookey.

All of the vintage orthodynamics that were in production. Yamaha, fostex, amfiton, PMB, etc.
