I'm interested in the WA6SE amp but not sure if it's optimized for the upgraded options or the stock? In other words, is the stock unit a cost-down version of the final design or vice-versa?
Some of the most respected hifi amps on the market like Shinden & LFD etc are optimized through listening and not sticking the most expensive & highest spec parts into the design like ordering a DELL PC online. This is a concern as I've heard enough maxed out mods that strips the stock unit of it's musically engaging characteristics; athough certain hifi criteria are improved.
Will be great if anyone here have live with both stock & upgraded WA amps beyond quick A/B care to share their experience.
