While my X1061 is sent back for an exchange I bought Zen X-Fi 16GB. Too much bass...There's no way I can use the sound effects. Is there an ounce of clarity in this player? I am returning this tomorrow.

| When we talk about "audio quality," most people assume we mean how pleasing something sounds to your ear. Unfortunately, our tests don't measure how pleasant an MP3 player audio chip sounds, but how accurately it performs. Paradoxically, not all accurate players sound great, and some of our favorite-sounding MP3 players have a few technical shortcomings. |

The 32gb Zen flash, and the 32gb X-Fi is what's being referred to. I owned the Zen 32gb myself, and the SQ was disappointing. As for the X-Fi, I never tried it, so I'd be at a loss to try to give an opinion (but I did hear it sounded better than the Zen I owned).
