Bass < Less $100 + Max Isolation

I feel honoured to be part of this great forum, I would like headphones with:
1. Good sound quality
2. Solid, powerful bass
3. Isolation( no noise in, no noise out), I work in a noisy office.

The price should be less than 100 dollars. Any ideas?

For that price range, the Sony V6 is pretty good SQ.

headphones or earphones? if you want headphones, then sound leakage will depend on where you have the volume control, but open headphones will leak even more.

if you want good earphones, then....UE's are the best for bass IMHO.

anyway back to headphone suggestions..... AKG's maybe...take your pick at which model fits your budget, but i love my AKG K 518's for bass. Comfort....well that's a different issue.

the best isolation i ever heard was the sennheiser hd280. If you get IEMs, they will probably isolate better.

Yes, the Sony MDR V6 have been praised in a lot of places. Do you know how they fair against the 7506s? in regards to isolation, punchy bass and sound quality.

Where can I get the best prices for these headphones? They are about 100 dollars in Amazon.

I have always had a phobia for UEs....

Are they safe...

What UEs can I get that can give me bass, isolation and sound quality at 100 dollars?

What kind of isolation does the AKG K 518 have? I really want to block out as much ambient noise as possible.

Hi tpc41,
I have read in many places that if I am a faithful basshead, I should steer clear of the HD 280s. Do they have deep punchy bass?

I would recommend the RP21's instead of the rp22x. Apparently the latter is a bit muddy (http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/rp-...g-soon-319739/). I own a pair of Rp21's and I absolutely love their bass, and I listen to a lot of techno/trance so I need good bass. And another plus is that they're cheaper too

The MDR V6 and MDR-7506 are exactly the same headphone inside. They differ only in the colour of the sticker AFAIK.

Not of course forgetting the old favourite AKG K81. If it's bass you want these phones deliver. They isolate pretty well but with the downside being they clamp hard
