Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends - Coldplay - Page 3

For what it is worth, they are really oustanding to watch and listen to in concert. That might be part of the reason why people love them so much.

I used to enjoy their music a lot but am now a bit tired by such good albeit pop stuff. The last album is to me totally different than the others. I did not like it so much until hearing it live - it just completes past Coldplay's work so well...

I think Coldplay are an average, but listenable band with a number of solid "Tracks". The Scientist , Clocks, What if, Yellow, Everything's Not Lost and a few others in my opinon. Viva La Vida/Prospekt's March takes them to another level IMO, great blend of mainstream/reflective tracks. To dis stuff just because it is popular is ridiculous, Coldplay have arrived for me. VLV/PM deluxe combo album are in my top 10 without a doubt.

Coldplay was absolutely one of the top 5 worst live shows of my life. Outrageously boring. All it really did is emphasize how samey all of their songs are. I know quite a few other people who agree.

A lot of people just dislike them because they are that popular. I know they're nothing really special in the grand scheme of rock, but they're not as bad as a lot of the other mainstream stuff in my opinion. Why they've become so popular I don't know. From some of the interviews I've seen with them, I'm not sure they know either
