Question for Sennheiser HD25 owners who have changed the stock cable

I am a big fan of the HD25 headphones, having had mine for just over a year now. I use them mainly when practising guitar late at night.

The first thing I did though was change the pads to velour ones (I think this is standard on the newer, updated HD25-II) and switch the cable to a HD580 one.

One thing I've noticed though, with the cups the other way up (to accomodate the HD580 cable) I find that, certainly on one side, the HD580 cable seems to not click into place properly and keeps coming loose.

I can push it back in easily enough, but it does bug me somewhat. One side seems fine and the HD580 cable clicks nicely in and rarely comes loose, but the other side is not the same at all.

Anyone else have the same problem?

I repleced my stock cable with the Equinox on the ones I used to own and never have a problem.
