Cmoy for Denon D2000

Is a cMoy mint tin amp going to be enough to drive a pair of D2000s?

I'd be using it with a 5th gen iPod and my iBook for now, possibly upgrading to a Touch and a Macbook later on.

Build a PINT, or use AD8397 because these headphones need quite a lot of current due to low impedance and big transducer size. Regular op-amps will not do the justice to these headphones.

It means to make sure there's a AD8397 opamp in the cmoy you're buying or buy a PINT amp built with an AD8397.

If I already purchased an OP2227 cmoy amp with the opamp in a socket, would putting the AD8397 chip in suffice? Is the power consumption going to go up with the new opamp?
