The condition of the unit is about as mint as you'll find one of this gen of iPod. It comes with everything Apple would give you, CD, cradle, USB cord, earbuds, etc. You can see it's all VERY well taken care of...and the box shows this. Battery holds a charge and lasts just as it would if it were new. Screen is bright, no dead pixels, and click wheel is mint as well. Previous owner was an older gentleman in his 60's who bought it when it was released, and it sat either in the docking station, or went out with him on his porch while sitting in his rocking chair listening to music. When I bought it, it only had 22 songs, and it was a Coldplay album with The Eagles Hotel California and a Beatles song. So, it's barely even used as well, lol.
Most all of it's life it sat in a cradle. As a result of such, it has scratches on the back indicating it, but that's about it. There are two HAIRLINE scratches on the screen that I can't even get to photo, but mentioned at the expense of FULL disclosure. Also, the picture of the back was shot in Macro mode with flash so you can see EVERYTHING. The picture actually makes it look FAR worse than it really is. In person, it looks fresh and shiny. Condition of everything, 9/10 easy. The only detractor being the scratches on the back, otherwise a 10.

I bought this planning on iModding it and adding a CF card, but an itouch is REALLY calling my name locally. I'm losing a little money on this deal...but it's for the better I guess, lol.
I really hate to see one of this condition leave my hands (RARE to see one in this condition period), but alas, the cool factor of the touch is calling.
