Someone stop me. lol I'm thinking of ordering a maxxed woo6 se to compare to the ZD. I really enjoyed the woo 6 when I had it and I think the head-fi community could use a comparison between the two.

I'm in the process of ordering a WA6-SE with Princess rectifier and attenuator, I can't wait! Too bad the part upgrade is almost the price of a set of RS-1's, otherwise I'd get that... Hopefully I won't regret not getting it.

I highly support such behavior!!

Yeah, are we really going to say no? Please let us know how they compare. I would like to know sooner than later so could you place the order today? :^)

I ordered my Sophia Princess 274B on Friday... When Blutarsky gets back from a business trip we'll compare the WA6 vs Zana Deux vs Melos again.
Ok but the Sophia needs around 100 hours. Also you need to stand on one foot and make a 3 quarter turn as you put it in the amp.

Don't worry, he'll be gone for a couple of weeks...

I'm looking forward to your comparison between Woo and Zana Deux.

I suspect you will hear an immediate difference with the Princess. Look forward to a comparison in a few weeks.

Update to the Woo WA6 SE 'two blue caps' issue I posted earlier: Jack says it's a revision to the design and my unit is the current production unit, and the two blue caps do not change the sound.

It just occurred to me, is that a 3/4 turn clockwise or counter-clockwise, and do I turn myself or the tube (or both)?

I'm not sure, but you might want to shout out loud Aye Caramba and clap your hand twice to be safe
post #163 of 183
It depends if you are in the northern or southern hemisphere. There is a slightly faster rotation of the tube but you also turn. It takes practice but I am confident you will get it.

As soon as jamato8 will compare those 274b tubes and I will get my tube moves just right, I'm getting one of these special tubes, too.

I just wish there would be more literature on putting these tubes in. Maybe even a youtube video

It would help to demystify the whole issue but it has been a long kept secret that has only recently made inroads into common knowledge, though there is still a ways to go but with time it will become a commonly accepted practice that all will follow except those few doubters who will be left to turn and twist within the discomforting knowing that they could have it better but will not accept the way.
