CD Ripper/Encoder with Unicode support?

Thread Starter
I've been using dbpoweramp, but i have several gripes with it.

firstly, freedb which is used to retrieve media information is horrible. many cds i have (mainly japanese) dont have listings whereas windows media player and itunes can all find it.

secondly, when i rip the cd, those japanese cds (if it managed to find information for) will be encoded with messed up tags. effectively rendering the media tag information useless as i would have to re do them myself.

any other programs out there with equal if not better quality?

Cheers

foobar2000 seems to be a highly regarded CD ripper/audio encoder.
Might be worth giving it a try...
