Sage Francis
Aesop Rock
Eyedea and Abilities

You might have to listen to some of the **** that was recommended in the last few pages to realize that these artists are the epitome of hip hop. IMO of course .

If you want real old-school (1985-89-style) gangsta rap from Port Hadlock, Washington, check out my official AK47 MySpace at MySpace.com - AK47 - PORT TOWNSEND, Washington - Rap / Hardcore / Hip Hop - www.myspace.com/bighmw.

I have free, downloadable MP3's of select songs from my 2004 CD. Hadlock's Most Wanted, as well as BIGHMW-exclusive video footage through the facilities of YouTube on my MySpace site.

C'mon all of you iPod/Cowon/Zune/Sony and other MP3 player owners, go ahead and start downloading, remember, they are absolutely free, and I wrote them all.

I would like to know from all of you guys (and gals) what your favorite AK47 track is, and also what you think of my project. PM me or, post here or, start a new thread on me.

You can also check out my official AK47 YouTube at YouTube - AK47Music's Channel. for more AK47 LIVE footage.

Well, if that disc got to you, you should keep with the spirit and hang out with Aquemini and Stankonia. Just unbelievably tight…

The Roots have been mentioned, but no one has put in a vote for Phrenology, which truly announced the second phase of their career even moreso than Things Fall Apart, I think.

Also noticed that no one has mentioned Ghostface. Fishscale is just ridiculous. Supreme Clientele is a fine, fine album, too.

Before I jump out of here, I should also plug Boston-bred MC Mr. Lif. Try I Phantom. If you think Immortal Technique is smart, hold on to your headphones...

Oh yeah, and though I'm not big on gangstas and thugs, you gotta give it up to Biggie Smalls, the Notorious B.I.G. The album Ready To Die will make you laugh more than once. Coming from such a bleak outlook, a sense of humor is like a neat trick.

Agreed.2Pac's the best in my opinion.NOBODY can touch his flow and his lyrics IMO.And the others are talking about Lil Wayne, gimme a break.Let me explain: despite being 18 years old,I really prefer 90's rap and hip hop (2Pac,Biggie Smalls,Dr. Dre etc.) to todays "so-called" hip hop.You can't deny that back in the days hip hop was authentic. Most of the artists were doing their thing for money, but hip hop was in their DNA guys... Unfortunately, The Good Die Young ,as Tupac Shakur states... :(
