Hip Hop anyone?

Thread Starter
I've been taking short breaks from progressive and classic rock and listening to some hip hop like Dr Dre/Snoop - Chronic and Immortal Technique.
Can anyone recommend me more good hip hop?

I don't think I can say, while I listen to a fair amount of Hip-Hop/Rap, that I like any band/group/person a great deal. For example, I'd listen to 5 albums by NaS, and find perhaps three or four songs that interest me. Even less with The Game, Jay-Z, and all your popular Hip-Hop artists. I'd claim to be a fan of JMT, but their lyrics are horrid. There are moments I wish death upon Vinnie and whoever else writes that excuse for lyrics, riddled with racism and bigotry.

Songs I personally enjoy (regardless of lyrics, in the aforementioned case) in general:

The Roots - Don't Feel Right
Outkast - Bombs Over Baghdad
Talib Kweli (Feat. Mary J. Blige) - I Try
NaS - Black Republican
Outerspace (Feat. Chief Kamachi) - Divine Evil
Outlandish - Walou (Rishi Rich Remix)
Michael Franti - Everyone Deserves Music (Can be loosely classified as Rap/Hip Hop/R&B)
The Game - Put You On The Game
Jedi Mind Tricks - Me Ne Sbatto
Jay-Z - Heart Of The City (Ain't No Love)
Jay-Z - Dirt Off Your Shoulder
Sage Francis - Slow Down Gandhi
Sage Francis - Bridle
Jurassic 5 - Running In A Cyclone
Gym Class Heroes - To Bob Ross With Love
Fort Minor (Feat. Mr. Hahn) - Out The Back

Ratatat, for those familiar, did two remix CDs, covering several very good songs. Some notable ones are KanYe West - Diamonds, Memphis Bleek - Alright, Beanie Sigel & Jay-Z - Glock Nines. I'd suggest checking out both, unless you have a deep hatred for "Eletronica".

Just about. Check out anything by A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul, I think both are a staple in Hip Hop.

Seems like you like more vocal...listen to Joe Budden. Try to find his lesser known stuff. He has no hooks and it's RAW AS HELL.

Sorry for stealing the thread a bit, but it is still partly related. What would someone/anyone concider to be the "must have" hip-hop albums to own. I think hip-hop is the music type which I have least concentrated on.
