ADX
Wow, these days I am always surprised to find a band which has been around that long, that I've not heard of (in genres I'm interested in, that is). They certainly look worth a listen, thanks for the mention.

BTW, Faith No More are also listed on the Metal Archives. Doesn't anyone remember their cover of "War Pigs"? Of course, they're metal.

I am going purely by what I like best and play the most........I don't care how many albums they sold

Thorny Gravy better not post a bunch of nu-metal bands and skew the results
So, you didn't list your namesake. I just came upon Dark Angel in my search for more 80s thrash.

I don't listen much to pure thrash like Dark Angel, Testament, Kreator etc
it gets to be a bit much over long period, but good for brief visits. I usually prefer Nordic metal as you can see by my group selection

I have all thier famous albums like DA "darkness descends"
And of course famous metal drummer Gene Hoglan started out here

My DarkAngel might be from the Jessica Alba TV show also..........

The first time I heard them, I thought they weren't that far removed from Skid Row, just.. darker. They just had a completey different image. Unfortuantely for bands like Skid Row, Winger and Warrant, the kids liked the Alice In Chains image more, it was cooler to be dark, depressed and drugged-out than it was to have teased hair and write wimpy power ballads..

Well, we're at the point where a band needs more than one #1 rank to be in the Top 10. So far, there have been 101 different bands ranked.
